WHAT IS CLIMATE FIRST? We use an in-house designed climate first decision making hierarchy to ensure all of our business operations are informed with the impact on the climate front of mind. A few examples of how what we do include but are;
strongly advocate for the transition away from fossil fuels to renewables by advising all of our customers to get off gas and electrify their homes and businesses
actively promote sustainable renewable energy sources by using high quality solar PV components in our installs with long life spans and high output efficiency
seperate and recycle all packaging materials from goods sold (styrofoam, soft plastic, cardboard, hard plastics etc.)
travel to quotes/CBD projects by modes of transport other than car where possible. many of our jobs are in the CBD so we deploy secure tool boxes on site so our staff can ride a bike or take public transport to work
repair and reuse components where possible and if not, correctly recycle each component (metal recyclers, e-waste disposal, battery recycling)
procurement of materials in bulk, to cut down on deliveries
